1.) The Citizens of the World club will provide students who have lived in other countries with a sense of belonging here at BYU. Those who feel they can’t claim any one culture as their own will feel they have a place in the Citizens of the World club. 2.) This club will provide fun gatherings that educate BYU students on overseas living and travel. These gatherings will include the celebration of different countries. Guest speakers who have lived overseas will also speak about different aspects of overseas living and travel. There will be information sheets provided, from which the Citizens of the World directory will be formed. There will be three gatherings each semester. 3.) The Citizens of the World club is committed to providing people who have experienced life as a foreigner with fun social events, information on overseas living and travel, and associations with people that will make their college experience at BYU more enjoyable.
There will be three gatherings a semester that will include the celebration of a particular country. The club will meet and a guest speaker with experience living in that country will speak on what it is like to work and travel in the particular country. There will be food to celebrate the country chosen for the night. There will be six countries celebrated during the Fall and Winter Semesters.
