What is Footlights?

BYU’s Original Music and Performance Club

With a focus on original music we feature vocal and instrumental musicians with a wide range of musical styles- pop, folk, jazz, country, rock, a cappella, acoustic.

Interested students can audition Tuesday nights in the WSC Terrace or Varsity Theater (see schedule.) Qualified students will be selected for concerts and other performances.

Footlights is a great opportunity for student musicians to work together on music projects, create musical combos, and receive feedback.

Bands and a cappella groups are welcome.

We welcome singer/songwriters, soloists, and backup musicians as well as students interested in sound, lights, stage management, or PR.

Everyone is welcome to our Tuesday night sessions at the WSC Terrace or Varsity Theater. Come to perform or just listen.

Auditions

Bring your guitar, voice, grand piano- whatever!- to the WSC Terrace or Varsity Theater Tuesday nights, 7-10 p.m.

Auditions are fun and informal. Come prepared to sing or play one or more songs. First come, first served. Ask for Derek.
